The final due date for this assignment is January 18th, 2017, 11:59PM HOL time. Please send all assignments to [email protected] with the subject line "HW4 - [Your HOL ID]" for homework and "EC4 - [Your HOL ID]" for the extra credit (they MUST be sent in separately). So if I were sending mine in, they would say "HW4 - iv823" and "EC4 -iv823" in the subject line. Please also include your name, house, and HOL ID at the top of your e-mail. I need this info to give you your hard-earned points, so double check that it's there! I will NOT accept attachments - please send your entire assignment in the body of the e-mail, or else I won't grade it. If you have any questions or need help with anything, please don't hesitate to send me a HOL message (my ID is iv823) or find me on IRC. I am always happy to help! Failure to format the assignments correctly (i.e., as outlined above) will result in a warning the first time, and a 2 point penalty for all other instances!

Option 1) What's Your Take?
Choose ONE of the topics below and discuss your opinion/do some research on it! (150 words minimum)
- Why do you think there is such a heavy stigma against werewolves? Is it justified or not? How might you go about fighting the stigma - or would you even bother?
- Why do you think anyone would breed or allow dark creatures to exist, if most of them love to eat humans and therefore are difficult, if not impossible, to control? Do you think they should be eliminated? Why or why not?
- How do you think Merpeople managed to domesticate Grindylows?
- Would you consider living among vampires or other dark creatures (if possible) in order to learn more about them, like Eldred Worple did? You can discuss why or why not and which creatures you might live among, or you can tell me the story of your experience living with a dark creature and what you found out!
- Do you think there are benefits to being a werewolf, and would you want to be one, or do you agree that it's a horrible infection and something you wish to steer clear of?
Option 2) Get Creative!
Choose ONE of the options below and draw a picture/create a graphic/make any other kind of artistic representation of the subject. Points will be given for EFFORT and CREATIVITY - don't fret about the quality!
- Create an image of any of the dark creatures or plants mentioned in the lesson. You're welcome to create an image of a dark creature or plant not mentioned in the lesson, or even one not a part of the Potter universe - but please make sure you tell me what your image is of!
